I am finally on facebook!

After i finally got around to making a blogspot, all my friends kept saying, "you should make a facebook, you have to be on facebook, everybody is on it", so....I am now venturing into cyberworld even deeper and have made my facebook page!! It has been great! I have found so many of my old high school friends and extended family! It's great to see what they are up to and see their families! I do feel kind of sad at the same time, I was one of the first (actually I was the second one out of my whole graduating class) to get married and start a family but now I feel like everyone has passed me and left me in the dust. Most of them have at least 3 kids some even up to 5 or 6. I really wanted a bigger family and I'm just not sure anymore if i will ever have the opportunity again to have another baby! I guess if you counted all the babies I've lost, I'd equal or even pass them all up. Life sometimes doesn't always work the way we really wish it could! But, I am so excited to be able to catch up with all of my friends and reconnect again across the miles!!! so if you are on facebook, look me up... Sharla Johnson Warner!!

SO PROUD OF KENDRA!!!

Today Kendra was invited as one of the few 7th grade students in her school, to join the National Junior Honor Society! She was invited to join because of her academic achievements along with being recognized for her excellent leadership, service, citizenship and character!! I think she will really enjoy being a part of a great organization that focuses on service to community and also at school! It will be lots of work and a great learning experience for her! I cant wait to learn more about what activities she will be participating in!! I will keep updates on what she is doing!!

That time of year again!

Last night we had fastpitch softball registration for the Kendra and Maddy! Kendra's coach really wants Dave to be his assistant coach this year and that was the plan since last season ended. Some of you know that Dave and I coached Maddy's team last season. That was such a challenge and honestly not one of my best experiences, because we had some girls (and parents) that were beyond difficult to deal with. For the rest of the team, they were awesome and always gave 100% to us and we had fun teaching them. I swore off doing it again, because I didn't want the stress and drama that came with it. I like to sit back and watch, but also help whenever I can. Well, last night, the board members begged and pleaded with us to coach (Maddy's) team again this year, as our friend who was going to coach them, is not going to have his girls play this year because of schedules and health issues, etc....Seriously?? Oh no!!! I was reassured that the "issues" we had last season would not be joining us again this year. (Cheering) So, I drudgingly agreed to give it another go, as a last, bottom of the list coach if needed. So, with Dave helping out with Kendra's team, we decided that I would be the head coach for Maddy's team, and he can assist me also. I Really hope and pray that we get good parents this year that are willing to volunteer and help a mom out!! Or better yet, a parent who wants to be head coach and I can assist them!! (wink, wink). It will be challenging & interesting to say the least, especially since I do not have any idea of who we will get on the team this year! So, another rainy, long, fun, crazy, exciting, rewarding season is soon underway for the Warner family! I am very much looking forward to watching my girls continue to grow and develop into the great ball players they are. It is great learning experience for them and they do really enjoy it! They continue to bring me so much happiness and joy to see them achieve their goals, improve their skills, boost their self confidence and learn the importance of teamwork! So...here we go again!!! Just wish me luck!!!
